What Others Are Saying About YOUTH Positive

"YOUTH Positive deserves constant reviewing, rereading and revisiting so that we can be reminded of all it has to offer. It has so many gems and nuggets that it’s hard to apply them all at once. Go back again and again to see what else you can find to apply in your life." - Josiann Trainor, 5th grade teacher, Sage Ridge School, Reno, NV

"You taught us many things, from what our emotions are, to how we can control them and deal with them. You have given all of us students the chance to open our minds and see what is really going on with us. You have allowed us to open up our minds to new opportunities and chances to take in life. … You came into our class and gave us different views on everything." - Freshman Student of Erin Been, High School Health & PE teacher

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is YOUTH Positive For?

YOUTH Positive is intended for teenagers. The content is geared toward 13 years old and up. If you have an advanced 6th grader, with a little extra teacher or parent guidance, it could work. Grades 7-9 would benefit from a bit more teacher support. Most 10-12 graders can manage it on their own. It can even be used for post-high school teens who could benefit from a deeper look into who they are or what talents and strengths they have that could aim them in a positive direction. Or those who need reinforcement in goal setting.

How much does YOUTH Positive Cost?

YOUTH Positive has a few different tiers of pricing available. If you are purchasing for a single classroom, you can choose from 3 plans for a class set of up to 35 students. The pricing ranges from $297 through $497. You can see all of the pricing plans broken down below.

If you are an administrator, department head, or counselor, you may be looking to use this program for an entire grade level or entire school. Pricing starts at $2497 and increases based on number of students enrolled.

We ask that you you reach out to me at [email protected] to discuss your school's specific needs so I can help find the right fit for you.

You can find all of our pricing plans (individual classrooms through entire school bulk enrollment) in this PDF one-page pricing sheet.

Who created YOUTH Positive and what kind of qualifications do they have?

Hi! I'm Molly Dahl and I created YOUTH Positive. I am a professional educator and have worked with both teens and adults for over 35 years. I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership in 2006 and taught in my own classroom for public and private schools for 15 years.

After achieving my Certificate in Positive Psychology in 2014, I began interweaving that research and those practices into my teaching/content delivery in my high school Spanish classroom. The results were off the charts! Not only did my students achieve 11% gains in their academic grades, they fell in love with their education-with the opportunities it provided them for exploration, growth, and preparation for life outside the school setting.

In 2016, I left the classroom and began my next career as an author. My first publication was Youth Positive, Exploring the Unique Genius of Every 21st Century Adolescent, (2015) a collection of the best-practices and strategies from Positive Education–mindfulness, self-responsibility, responsible decision making skills, and positive life skills, among others.

Now-a-days, my bio reads “Teacher, author, speaker, and educational consultant, Molly offers workshops, teacher trainings, presentations, and workshops around the country and internationally. She is a certified teacher of yoga, meditation, and Cultivating Emotional Balance. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and a Certificate in Positive Psychology from The Wholebeing Institute.”

Can my students get individual access?

Yes for most of our plans, students get their own individual access to the course.

If you are an individual teacher, there is one option that is a TEACHER ONLY access for 12-months for $297, but NO student individual login access is included. However, you are free to share the printable PDFs with your students in the classroom or purchase the pre-printed student journal that follows along with YOUTH Positive curriculum.

All other bulk enrollment plans include student access, but must be purchased through a different payment system. Please reach out to Molly Dahl at [email protected] so we can discuss your school's student needs.

What do I need for my students to take this course?

A willingness to explore the self and life and a sense of curiosity that invites asking questions.

A computer, tablet, or phone with working internet in order to access the videos and download the PDF files (if preferred).

If you want to print out the PDFs, you would need a printer or you can purchase the pre-printed student journal.

What if I'm an educator, but I have a teen at home? Could this program help them?

Oh yes! In many ways. The lessons are self-directed - students can go at their own pace. If you are cultivating or strengthening your relationship with your teen, it can be beneficial for you to do the lessons as well. You will know what your child is learning, how the Personal Experiments work to incorporate the ideas and practices into every-day life, and it can give you some great talking points to engage your child/children.
